Capturing an instance is valid in test doubles and callback integrations. This rule is explicitly off, so these allowed patterns no longer emit advisory diagnostics.

This PR changes only this rule and its existing call sites. Each changed rule has its own PR.

Stack validation: rebased onto b76a110. The earlier 234-file test run passed, and the cancellation regression test passes after its local exception. Rebased format, lint, Knip, and all 34 affected-package typecheck tasks pass. The final local test rerun and fresh CI are pending.

Model: GPT-6.1 Sol. Harness: Codex.

Approvability

Verdict: Needs Human Approval

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This one-line change disables the repository-wide TypeScript no-this-alias lint diagnostic. Although it has no direct production runtime impact, lint-suppression directives require human review under the configured approval criteria.

Explanation

The title "chore(lint): disable typescript/no-this-alias" matches the only change in the PR, which turns off the typescript/no-this-alias lint rule in vite.config.ts. It is a short, specific conventional-commit title that names the rule and the action. It does not describe the existing call sites that were updated, but that detail is not required.

Full details: Description check

Explanation

The description explains the reason for the change. Capturing an instance is valid in test doubles and callback integrations, so the rule is turned off and these patterns no longer produce advisory diagnostics. It also describes the scope (only this rule and its call sites) and the verification the author ran. However, the template sections 'Problem', 'Change', and 'Scope and approval' are not used as headings. The 'Scope and approval' section is missing a linked issue or maintainer-approved discussion, and the required explanation for the focused configuration change is not given in that form. The verification section gives results but does not describe the observed behavior of the changed rule in detail. The final test rerun and CI are still pending, and the author states this.

Resolution

Add the template sections: Problem (why capturing an instance triggers advisory diagnostics in test doubles and callback integrations), Change (disable typescript/no-this-alias in vite.config.ts and update the existing call sites), and Scope and approval. For Scope and approval, link the triaged issue or maintainer-approved discussion. Or explain what already exists, what the rule option controls, and why its effects stay within the existing lint capability, as the template asks for focused configuration. For Verification, state the focused checks you ran for this rule and their results, and note anything not yet checked, such as the pending final test rerun and CI.
