Issue pinning and locking
Moderators (users with triage rights on the repository) see two extra controls in the issue sidebar.
Pin
- Pin to top / Unpin toggles whether the issue is pinned.
- Pinned issues carry a "Pinned" chip next to their title and appear in a Pinned block above the issue list, whatever state filter is active.
Lock
- The Conversation row offers Lock, optionally with a reason (off-topic, too heated, resolved, spam).
- While locked, the comment composer is replaced by a notice stating the lock reason; moderators get an Unlock button in that notice and in the sidebar.
If the issue changes while you are pinning or locking it, your change is rejected and the page refreshes. Review its current state before retrying.
Organize an issue
The issue sidebar shares its rows with the pull request page: State, Priority, Assignees, Labels, Milestone, Pull requests, Conversation and Pinned. Row controls appear on hover; assignees, labels and linked pull requests open a search picker. Find a pull request by number or title, then select the matching result.
