Public profiles#

/<handle> shows a user or organization's public profile: avatar, display name, handle, bio, and (when set) company, location, and website. Profiles are public; you do not need to be signed in.

Repositories#

All visitors see that owner's public repositories, with visibility and default branch, loading more on demand. Private repositories remain in the authenticated repository and organization views; they are never included in this public list.

User profiles also show their saved pinned repositories in order, restricted to public, live repositories. Manage pins through the profile CLI workflow. Contribution calendars are not available.

Organizations#

Organization profiles are public at /<handle> without requiring membership. Member administration stays at /orgs/<handle>. Unknown or retired profiles show "Not found".
