On iPad the workspace tab pill (Chats, PRs, Usage, Settings) was an overlay pinned to the bottom left of the whole split view. Whenever the sidebar was hidden, by hand or by the inspector, the pill floated over the composer.

With native columns (iOS 26 and later) the sidebar column now draws the tabs itself, so they move and hide with it, including when UIKit's own swipe gesture hides the sidebar. The JS columns (iPadOS 18–25) keep the overlay but hide it whenever the sidebar is hidden. Workspace pages that cover the sidebar, such as Usage, keep their tabs.

After: left, the pill in the sidebar; right, the sidebar hidden and the composer clear. After: tabs in the sidebar, and gone with it

Not checked on a device: the iPadOS 18–25 JS-column path. The pool's iOS 18.6 iPad wasn't available.
