The thread screen used the window width to decide where its files and git inspectors went: into the column, or onto the ThreadFiles and GitOverview routes.
The screen now always asks the shell to show its inspector. If the window has a column, the column opens. Otherwise the shell shows the same content in a sheet. The sheet opens only on request, belongs to the route that opened it, and closes on dismiss or when another page is selected. Git actions close the sheet so the thread shows their progress. Routes opened from the sheet wait for it to close first. The inspector's top inset now depends on where it renders, so it sits flush in a sheet.

Fixed in 6f4a5f6: the file pane now closes the inspector sheet through InspectorSheetContext before it opens ThreadFile. The same commit routes Review changes in GitOverviewSheet through presentRoute (the outside-diff finding) and makes showInspector restore the column preference when it opens the sheet (the follow-up).
@juliusmarminge Thanks for confirming the fix in 6f4a5f6. The reported InspectorSheetContext change addresses this finding. I also acknowledge the two related fixes in that commit.
