fix(mobile): keep Duo toolbar actions clear of workspace tabs#22976

Duo workspace toolbars could overlap the native tab bar, hide actions, or duplicate Compose. This layer keeps modal toolbar groups native while moving workspace rail actions away from the tabs, and gives the workspace one Compose action. A pull request opened from a thread also leaves Compose out of its bar.

Verified folded and unfolded landscape on the Duo: PR actions and tabs do not overlap, search opens, and modal search remains usable. Focused header tests and mobile typecheck passed.

This is the first toolbar layer. #23145 later in this stack moves list search to a bottom field and makes header actions update when their contents change. Unfolded portrait is unverified.

Intermediate failing layout, before the overlap correction: Before: toolbar overlaps workspace tabs

After the correction, on another PR with the same viewport: After: actions above separate workspace tabs

📝 Walkthrough

The iOS workspace header now uses column-aware navigation controls for compose and search. The workspace toolbar selects control placement by device and tab. HomeHeader no longer renders a separate header.

Changes: iOS workspace header controls

Layer / File(s)Summary
Native header controls and search lifecycle
apps/mobile/src/native/StackHeader.tsx, apps/mobile/src/native/V5StackHeader.ios.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/threads/sidebar-native-header-items.ts
V5StackHeader now accepts column, compose, and covered-state props. It combines header items in the trailing area and recreates search controllers when placement changes while a column is or becomes covered. The native sidebar-filter option is removed, while the sidebar filter item is constructed inline.

The workspace navigator selects Duo detail-column compose behavior by selected tab and passes compose and covered-state information to column headers. Pull-request routes do not receive detail compose. The thread header no longer supplies a separate Duo compose button.
Toolbar placement and HomeHeader removal

The workspace toolbar selects compose and search placement using device type and tab state. Expanded Duo sidebar search uses a toolbar search slot. HomeHeader returns null, and its usesWorkspaceToolbar prop is removed.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Exclude pull-request routes from detail compose.

When a user opens a pull request from a thread, navigation opens PullRequest without selecting the pullRequests tab. This condition still enables detailCompose, so V5StackHeader adds “New task” beside the pull-request actions. Check the visible detail route as well as selectedTab before supplying onCompose. ✅ Addressed in commit 7153c10

Fixed in 7153c10fce9. Pull request routes (PullRequest, PullRequestFile, PullRequestFiles) now skip detail compose wherever they open, so a pull request opened from a thread no longer gets New task beside its review actions. The selected-tab check still covers the empty Pull requests detail.

@juliusmarminge Confirmed in the supplied code. All three pull-request routes now receive onCompose={undefined}, including when opened from a thread. The selected-tab check still suppresses compose for the empty Pull requests detail.

🟡 Minor · Keep one Compose owner on folded Duo layouts. · WorkspaceToolbar.ios.tsx:33-37

apps/mobile/src/features/workspace/WorkspaceToolbar.ios.tsx:33-37 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Keep one Compose owner on folded Duo layouts.

On a folded Duo with Threads selected, WorkspaceToolbar renders workspace-compose. createWorkspaceStackNavigator.ios.tsx also passes detailCompose to every non-pull-request detail route, so V5StackHeader adds a second workspace-compose.

Keep the folded toolbar as the Compose owner. Limit detailCompose to unfolded Duo layouts. Pull-request routes opened from Threads and folded empty-detail states retain the toolbar action.
