Copyright Policy

1. Copyright notices

A notice should include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
• The exact GitCafe URL or repository path of the material.
• Your name and reliable contact information.
• A good-faith statement that the use is not authorized.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

2. Our response

We may ask for missing information, forward the notice to the affected user, restrict access to identified material, and take other action required by law. Where appropriate, we provide the user an opportunity to respond before disabling an entire repository.

3. Counter-notices

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice identifying the material and its former location, explaining the basis for restoration, consenting to the jurisdiction required by applicable law, and including your contact information, required statements, and signature. We may forward it to the original reporter and restore the material when legally permitted.

4. Repeat infringement and misrepresentation

We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice may create legal liability. Copyright disputes can be complex; consider obtaining legal advice before submitting either.
