Fixed: a computed member with a non-literal key (Date[now]) is no longer treated as a wall-clock read; Date["now"] still is. Covered by a rule test.

Restore the Date.now spy after each test.

setup() installs a fixed Date.now() result, and both tests call setup(). No local cleanup or applicable Vitest configuration restores the spy. A later same-worker test can therefore receive the fixed NOW value instead of the real clock.

Fixed: setup() returns the spy and both tests hold it with using, so it is restored when each test ends.

C
coderabbitaiBot3d ago

@juliusmarminge Thanks for the fix. Both tests now use using to restore the Date.now spy when each test exits, including on failure. No afterEach hook is needed.

๐ŸŽฏ Functional Correctness | ๐ŸŸก Minor | โšก Quick win

Use a clock-relative expectation for the snooze fixture.

The test now treats 2099-01-01T09:00:00.000Z as active for every system date. The production executor instead skips the snooze when Date.parse(step.snoozedUntil) <= Date.now(). When the test runs with the clock at or after 2099, correct production behavior will omit the snooze, but this assertion will still expect it.

Set a fixed system clock for the test or derive the fixture and expectation relative to the mocked clock.

Leaving as is. The table's fixture dates are 2000 and 2099; the test runs correctly for the next 73 years, and pinning the system clock here would add a second time source to a test whose point is that it no longer reads one.

C
coderabbitaiBot3d ago

@juliusmarminge Thanks for the guidance. The 2000 and 2099 fixtures cover the intended cases without a mocked clock. My concern about the 2099 boundary is not actionable here, so I withdraw the finding.

5Learning: In apps/mobile/src/features/home/useThreadListActions.test.ts, the unpin undo test intentionally uses fixed 2000 and 2099 snooze fixtures for expired and unexpired cases. Do not request a mocked system clock solely to address the eventual 2099 boundary; the maintainer accepts that horizon and prefers avoiding additional clock setup.
