fa84ac0Resolved by Julius Marmingefa84ac0Resolved by Julius MarmingeCopy thread put a t3-context link on the clipboard, which only meant something inside a T3 Code composer. Pasted into Slack, a GitHub comment, or notes, it went nowhere.
It now copies https://app.t3.codes/threads/<environmentId>/<threadId>, which opens the thread from anywhere.
parseThreadLinkHref (packages/shared/src/threadLinks.ts) also reads the hosted link. Every client that already handles t3-thread:// links gets it with no client-specific code. On web and desktop it renders as a thread chip that navigates in-app, so desktop never opens a browser for it. On mobile, relabelThreadLinks rewrites it as a v2 link, so taps, titles, icons, and the "Thread on another machine" fallback all match. Lookups stay keyed by environment and thread; nothing scans all threads.promptLinkAppPath accepts /threads/<env>/<thread> without a prompt and maps it to /<env>/<thread>. That reuses the prompt-link chooser (desktop app, mobile app, this browser, download, Remember my choice), which deep-links to t3code://threads/<env>/<thread>. That deep link already worked on desktop (DesktopClerk → DesktopWebLinkCoordinator) and on mobile (threads/:environmentId/:threadId). A bare /<env>/<thread> without a prompt still never triggers the chooser. The chooser has a "Open this thread" summary for plain thread links. A small /threads/$environmentId/$threadId route forwards to the thread after the chooser steps aside ("Continue here" or a remembered browser choice).[A-Za-z0-9_-], so a sentence's closing period never becomes part of an ID, and a bare URL in prose matches exactly.threadChipCopyTarget writes the hosted link as plain text and keeps the fragment. Web passes configuredHostedAppUrl(), as Copy prompt link does; mobile uses the default, as its Copy prompt link does. Every entry point goes through threadChipCopyTarget / resolveThreadReferenceCopyTarget: sidebar, thread action menu, chat header and keybinding, command palette, mobile thread list, mobile hardware keyboard and palette.threadLinkContextReferences turns pasted hosted links and t3-thread://v2 links into thread chips, with or without the fragment. It uses the copied record when there is one, otherwise the thread's title read by key, otherwise the link's own label. A thread the composer's agent cannot read stays the link as pasted, not an orphaned chip. Web runs this in importPastedComposerText, mobile in importComposerContextClipboard. The native T3ComposerEditor (iOS and Android) now hands JS a paste containing a thread link even without the fragment. It does this only after the large-paste folding check, and not for paste-as-plain-text.MarkdownThreadLink's copyMarkdown and mobile's chip Copy link write [Title](https://app.t3.codes/threads/…).<origin they reached>/<env>/<thread>, which opens the browser even on a phone. Their link is now the same hosted link Copy thread copies, built from the server's T3CODE_HOSTED_APP_URL (default app.t3.codes), so it offers the desktop and mobile apps too. If that setting is invalid, the server logs a warning and uses app.t3.codes rather than failing to start.t3-thread://v2 links: question answers still send them, and agent instructions, tool descriptions, and evals are untouched.VITE_HOSTED_APP_URL, else app.t3.codes), but messages and paste only recognize https://app.t3.codes. A link copied from a build with another hosted URL (Vercel previews, forks) opens that build's chooser, and becomes a chip elsewhere only while it carries T3's clipboard fragment. Agreed in review: only the main domain matters./<contextId>), so with the hosted link as the text, the fragment is dropped. Paste still makes the chip, titled by key lookup. I left the native writers alone because message-copy callers rely on that filter.User-message chips (UserMessageContextChips) still copy as t3-context references with their fragment; that path wasn't in scope.
packages/shared: hosted link round trips with escaped IDs; rejects query, extra segments, and other origins; relabel of bare, labelled, and autolinked hosted links (skips code spans, prose punctuation, and ?prompt= links); promptLinkAppPath accepts /threads/<env>/<thread> while bare /<env>/<thread> without a prompt stays null; hosted → app path → t3code://threads/… → same path; paste helper (copied record preferred, keyed title, label fallback, refused threads, v1 links, and code stay as written).packages/client-runtime: Copy thread writes the hosted link, which pastes back as the copied chip; hostedAppUrl is honoured.apps/server: an outside client's launch result carries the hosted link on the configured hosted app; MCP HTTP server and OAuth tests (38) pass, run under the server-test sandbox.apps/web: importPastedComposerText turns a Copy thread clipboard and a bare v2 link into chips, and keeps the link when the import refuses the thread.apps/mobile: clipboard import chips a readable hosted link and leaves a link to an unreadable machine as text.vp run check:changed after rebasing on main: format, lint, knip, typecheck (34 packages), tests (21 files), and the React compiler check pass. The web app in hosted mode (VITE_HOSTED_APP_CHANNEL=nightly, as app.t3.codes builds) at /threads/env-1/thread-1, the link Copy thread now copies.
"Open in desktop app" links to t3code://threads/env-1/thread-1. A bare /env-1/thread-1 still opens the app with no chooser.

Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — Copy thread and external MCP results now use hosted links, changing default clipboard and navigation behavior. Human review is required to accept these defaults and resolve the outstanding peer-forwarding concern.

The change adds hosted thread URL generation, parsing, and routing. Copy actions use configured hosted-app URLs. Paste flows convert eligible thread URLs into composer context chips. MCP-generated thread links use the configured hosted app URL.

A few smaller thread-link edge cases from earlier review (mobile rendering of unresolved hosted links, documentation wording, Android multi-item paste) also remain open. None blocks the main flow, but they should be addressed or accepted.
