Map each preparation failure at its stage.
The final Effect.mapError gives all non-TextGenerationError failures the same detail: "Could not prepare complete Git evidence for the review guide." This includes Git failures from input.change and git.execute, and filesystem failures from directory creation and file writes. The nested cause retains the original error, but TextGenerationError.message does not include it.
Map errors at the failing call. Include the stream kind or stack layer head in Git-read errors, and use separate context for directory, chunk, and manifest writes. Preserve the existing TextGenerationError pass-through.

β Confirmed as addressed by @StiensWout
Fixed in b422699b73c4fde2a7dfd03fbc781e50734da8ed. Git reads, directory creation, chunk writes and manifest writes now attach their own stage context while retaining the immediate cause. Existing domain errors pass through. Git output-limit failures retain the 64 MiB explanation instead of the generic preparation message.
The service failure cases failed before the correction and now pass. Final check:changed passed all 33 tests and 20 affected typechecks. A separate actual-Git probe forced a one-byte output cap to verify overflow classification and cause retention; it also exercised a real directory-creation failure. Neither path published an incomplete manifest.

@StiensWout Verified the error-handling changes in b422699b73c4fde2a7dfd03fbc781e50734da8ed. Git reads and filesystem writes now attach stage-specific context and retain the immediate cause. Existing TextGenerationError values pass through unchanged. Git output-limit failures retain the 64 MiB explanation.
This addresses the finding. I did not rerun the tests or the actual-Git probe.
