Problem

Mobile maintains its own selectable Markdown renderer alongside Nitro Markdown, including parsing, highlighting, link pills, and clipboard behavior. Enriched Markdown now has upstream native pills and iOS link menus, so it can own most of that rendering. Context previews also use a custom sheet that differs from Agents/Queue.

Change

Replace the mobile renderer with react-native-enriched-markdown@1.2.0-t3.10, pinned as a committed tarball with source provenance, following the existing Screens fork approach. The packaged fork is 4f36d07f, rebased onto upstream 678a5a99. Adopt upstream’s linkRecognition API and shared native parser for T3 file/skill links. Drop seven covered fork commits, including the old recognition implementations, back-swipe behavior, table-image presses, and header alignment. The fork diff against its upstream base falls from 134 files to 88 and from 6,945 added lines to 5,142.

Use upstream pills, per-link labels/icons, and iOS menus. T3 supplies transparent pill fills and zero-width borders. Use upstream file/skill recognition and retain parsed asset manifests, signed image sources, React media slots, development-host autolinks, and selection clipboard metadata in the fork. Recognition changes now invalidate the media manifest, preventing stale assets from surviving a pattern change. T3 owns routing, signed media controls, context sheets, and a small plain-file selection module. Move composer chip helpers and icons out of the deleted Markdown module. Remove the old parser/renderer, Nitro dependencies, and their patches. Render SVG through the existing SVG dependency and inset file previews below native headers.

Use native FormSheet presentation for all shared context previews, terminal line selection, and iOS worktree details. Match Agents/Queue with the native header, sheet background, grabber, and expandable detents. Preserve context payloads, preview actions, terminal range selection, and attachment/removal behavior. Android worktree details already use a native bottom sheet. Remove the unused JS sheet-size adapters.

Restore native image, video, and PDF opening in chat and Markdown file previews. The workspace/modal envelopes now expose the visible route to React Navigation's focus provider, so a viewer is no longer dismissed immediately. Media links open the existing viewers before ordinary file routing. Upstream's iOS horizontal code, table, and math scroll views retain native bouncing. A fresh outward pan at the settled left boundary yields to native back navigation; an interior pan keeps ownership through its bounce. Image presses in ordinary and nested quoted tables now use the same native media viewers, while linked images keep their link destination. Table-cell rendering retains the image URL/alt metadata used for native hit testing. Use upstream alignment for the code-block language label and copy icon within the visible native header on iOS and Android. Explicitly set plain quote backgrounds to transparent so the library's pale default cannot hide dark-mode text. This covers the exact supplied paragraph, inline code, and nested quotes.

This is the maintainer-requested migration and its context-sheet follow-up. Web/desktop rendering and server contracts are unchanged.

File, skill, context, and icon-link variants have a transparent fill and zero-width border, preserving their padding, labels, icons, and routing. Native iOS menus use T3-supplied actions whenever T3 handles link presses, so Open link reaches the existing viewer; Copy link and Share link use the original href.

t3.8 rebased without removing patches. t3.9 removed seven covered commits and reduced the fork diff from 134 files to 88. Removed rows stay in this table as history. t3.10 fixes Android media slots disappearing when signed image source resolution copies the parsed tree; no new feature layer was added.

Pills, menus, and highlighting already came from upstream. Styles, image/video/PDF viewers, and routing live in T3.

Verification

Current consumer e2ce8eeb is rebased onto main 83fbbc18. The t3.10 archive records fork 4f36d07f and upstream 678a5a99.

Main's PR descriptions and timeline comments now use Enriched. The shared Remark parser preserves HTML screenshots/details and gallery extraction without Nitro. Upstream renders GitHub alerts. The integration retains main's Expo Image cache and PR routing, fixes Unicode currency-sigil recognition and source-text truncation, and preserves literal ampersands in HTML media URLs for both Remark and native MD4C.

  • Current consumer: 10 focused suites / 81 tests and mobile typecheck passed; formatting, frozen install and normal commit hooks passed. Scoped lint previously passed for the unchanged consumer source. Existing lint warnings remain.
  • Fork: Bob/types/codegen and normal Kotlin formatting/commit hooks passed. Production Android library Kotlin/Java compiled. Five targeted Android suites / 30 tests passed for media descriptors, signed image sources, media offsets and recognized-link fonts. An obsolete font test was updated to upstream's API; production source in the archive remains unchanged by that test update.
  • Package: all 903 packaged JS/native/generated files match the committed source. SHA-256: 35b145edd83efb8c501e6e764611d11bf0b539246ba22dbb35b091f590eafef9. Compared with t3.9, only Android renderer/measurement source and package/provenance metadata changed; iOS, C++, JS and generated files are byte-identical.
  • Recognition: the actual JS native-configuration bridge accepts the exact T3 pattern, and production Apple ENRMLinkRegexConfig passes file paths, all eight currency sigils, supplementary Unicode, boundaries, alternation, caching and invalid-pattern cases. These are headless checks.
  • iOS interaction: current consumer source renders light/dark quotes, upstream alerts, HTML media and SVGs; native image/PDF previews open from nested tables, and video playback works. Code blocks and tables scroll horizontally, bounce on return, and only a fresh outward swipe from the settled left edge pops navigation.
  • Android interaction: installed the finished t3.10 EAS APK and loaded the exact published PR bundle 2c52cf1612bca9ccf12cc92cdb46ffbd, matching runtime 4d107c2a18950c838602cf4ff4944ecfb93c2abf. HTML/block and quoted images now render and open the image viewer. Inline video plays, video opened from a table plays to completion, and a table PDF opens in the installed native document viewer. The fix collects occurrence identities from the image-resolved tree in rendering and height measurement. MP4s written as table images still reserve a blank native thumbnail; tapping that cell opens the working video player.
  • Latest-head CI passed, including mobile native analysis, builds, lint/types, web/server suites, smoke tests and thread-transfer ceilings. A duplicate fingerprint run was superseded and its replacement passed. All review threads are resolved. Macroscope retains its request for human review of the broad migration; rebase-only bot checks were skipped and CodeRabbit remains automatically paused. Both new EAS development-client builds finished successfully. Their fingerprints match the current published PR updates. The cloud build source predates the last rebase, but all mobile/shared consumer files match the current head byte for byte.

The current published iOS update was also launched on the local simulator client. Its downloaded bundle matches asset 8c56b6131e62effb4294e711cb333cba and contains no Nitro imports. The user-reported direct-launch error referenced a different 0c33b7e0d0bf5a3fad90c95d08e4a664 bundle. After explicitly opening the current PR update, the user confirmed the installed iOS preview opens successfully. These development clients can retain an earlier update selection across installation, so use the explicit PR update after installing. The IPA registers t3code-preview and exp+t3-code; Expo's QR generator needs appScheme=t3-code.

The iOS check used the official local native client with an iOS 27.0 SDK workaround for main's 27.1-only hinge API and host-only resource limits. The workaround was excluded from commits. Its Enriched iOS/C++/JS source is byte-identical to t3.10; it is separate from cloud shipping-build proof. Initial SDK/disk failures supply no proof. No new renderer benchmark, VoiceOver traversal or native XCTest claim.

Earlier validation and visual evidence

Current follow-up proof on 682b1f3a: mobile types, scoped lint/formatting, 2 focused suites / 25 tests, and normal commit hooks pass. All 8 required checks pass on this exact head; Macroscope correctness passes. Both existing review threads remain resolved. CodeRabbit is still automatically paused and supplies no review of these two follow-ups; Macroscope approvability still requests human review. No human approval or merge is claimed.

Personally inspected the iPhone 17 Pro / iOS 27 comparison in dark and light chat, plus the light file preview. The before source is 4204c16e; final source is 682b1f3a. Each matches all 27,544 tracked files in the simulator checkout. After correcting the initial Mac source-sync failure, the official helper rebuilt/installed the client for the main-sync changes and later confirmed compatibility without another rebuild at fingerprint ecf2749292ea1810b5d5401094ecb309e9a8a6c0. Fully relaunched with the final shipping JS. Verified file routing, media-pill tapping into Quick Look, Open link from the corrected native menu into Quick Look, and Share link opening the system share sheet with ./image.png; cancelled without sharing. Copy link remains available but was not pressed in this pass. System appearance was restored, the disposable connection removed, and the owned backend/Metro stopped.

The first source-sync attempt and disk-full native build supply no final proof; their captures were discarded and the comparison repeated after the source matched. The successful official build retry pruned only task-owned iOS simulator SDK slices and disabled index/debug output through a host-only launcher; shipping build settings are unchanged. No new Android interaction, VoiceOver, native XCTest, video-playback, or renderer-performance proof is claimed. Earlier evidence remains tied to its named heads.

Sync follow-up at 4204c16e merges origin/main 73e097b8 without conflicts. Frozen install, mobile types, 6 focused suites / 42 tests, scoped lint and normal merge hooks passed. Lint reports 5 warnings and no errors. The resulting tree matches the automatic merge exactly. CI and earlier native proof below remain specific to their named heads; the final follow-up below includes verification after this main sync.

Header alignment follow-up at 8ce2b4f4: center the language label and copy icon between the top of the block and its divider on iOS and Android. Code-pane bounds, measured height, scrolling, fonts and highlighting are unchanged. The 1.2.0-t3.7 archive changes only the two native header-layout files and version/provenance metadata; SHA-256 2b507e0578b075313206b053b5c5491754c020b4d1cd04af845dacc35ca41b83. Android production Kotlin compilation/ktlint, mobile types, frozen installs on Linux and the simulator host, formatting and normal commit hooks passed.

Personally inspected native chat and Markdown file previews after rebuilding and fully relaunching the iPhone 17 Pro / iOS 27 client. The official helper built/installed it successfully, then confirmed compatibility without a rebuild at fingerprint 820b06e2a1b0ce7e589fc8ea769782dcb12aff08. All 27,532 committed consumer files match the simulator checkout. Header copying preserved all 162 source characters, and a fresh code-block gesture at its settled left edge navigated back. Dark/light captures show centered headers; code-pane screenshot pixels match before/after. System appearance and the empty simulator clipboard were restored. Native building used host-only simulator SDK pruning and disabled index/debug output; production settings are unchanged. The first SDK guard stopped before compilation and supplies no build proof. No Android interaction, macOS UI, VoiceOver traversal or native XCTest proof is claimed for this fix.

Exact-head CI passes all 8 required checks and Macroscope correctness. EAS Preview succeeded from merge commit 84cbe77f, whose parents include this head. CodeRabbit remains automatically paused and supplies no review of this header fix. One nonrequired Native fingerprint diff run was cancelled; another succeeded. Both existing review threads remain resolved. Macroscope approvability remains neutral and requests human review for the migration's breadth. No human approval or merge is claimed. Earlier proof below remains specific to its named heads.

Style follow-up at 1ffa54aa, implemented by Claude Opus 5.5 and reviewed/integrated by GPT-6.1-sol: remove tinted fills from Markdown pills and inline code. Give code blocks and tables matching hairline frames, consistent spacing and an 8pt radius; tighten table cell padding and use the existing code surface for table headers. Preserve code font, syntax palette, tokenizer, link content/actions, routing and native package. Scoped mobile typecheck/lint and formatting passed. Personally inspected native chat and Markdown file previews in dark and light appearances, including a file-pill long-press menu. The official native helper reused the compatible client with fingerprint e0b992fcc169a5385bdae9f9f1e7798c91460831; no rebuild was required. The simulator checkout differs from the verified preceding source only in these two style files, whose bytes match the committed follow-up. Temporary file content was restored and System appearance reinstated. Exact-head CI now passes all 8 required checks, including Check and Mobile Native Static Analysis; Macroscope correctness passes. EAS Preview succeeded and published Android/iOS updates from merge commit 8e5084f0, whose parents include this head, reusing matching native builds. iOS update · Android update. CodeRabbit remains automatically paused; its success context supplies no review of this style head. One nonrequired Native fingerprint diff run was cancelled; another passed on this same head. Both existing review threads remain resolved. Macroscope's neutral approvability check still requests human review for the breadth of the default mobile/native migration. No human approval or merge is claimed. Earlier CI below remains specific to its named heads.

  • Consumer migration: 9 focused suites / 74 tests passed for link presentation, context chips/clipboard, media resolution/actions, and image sizing. Mobile typecheck, targeted lint, and frozen installation passed.
  • Source-text review fix: a temporary React 19.3 / React DOM probe reproduced incorrect nested color inheritance before the fix and passed afterward, including a parent-color update, preserved bold/font-size styling, and an unaffected sibling. Native hosts were mocked.
  • Fork: JS tests, Bob/types/codegen, normal hooks, five production Android suites / 29 tests, and focused C++ parser/copy checks passed.
  • Sheet follow-up 900e7ead: mobile typecheck, scoped lint, and normal commit hooks passed. Two existing array-index-key warnings remain.
  • Earlier iOS native client built and installed successfully with the source-text fix. The native fingerprint is 2e2f1e95da06126eb85783356cd9cf398b2a4daa; the helper confirmed compatibility after the sheet changes. Verified matching shipping source hashes after restoring temporary fixtures.
  • Personally inspected iPhone 17 Pro / iOS 27 context presentation, native title/Done, expansion, swipe dismissal, reopening, terminal line selection, attachment of exactly lines 3–4, and removal from the draft. Worktree details used a temporary synthetic setup snapshot with the actual production card and sheet; no worktree setup was executed. Temporary input fixtures were restored afterward.
  • Earlier iOS migration validation at d095883d covered file/GitHub pills, inline file recognition, URLs, code controls, task lists, tables, signed SVG media, file menus/routing, signed previews, and native selection copy/paste restoring the original Terminal record. All native verification used an isolated paired environment; no provider run or message was sent.

Media/back follow-up at c9508f7c: 4 focused mobile suites / 52 tests, mobile typecheck, scoped lint, frozen install, and normal hooks passed. The fork passes 18 JS suites / 105 tests and Bob/types/codegen. The rebuilt iOS client is compatible with fingerprint afc9b3f7c31c5afc44de703410677b600843f17f. Personally verified native Quick Look image/PDF opening and dismissal, AVKit video playback, root and quoted signed SVG opening from chat, and back navigation from both code blocks and tables. A pan from an interior offset scrolls back to the boundary without leaving the file; a subsequent outward pan at that boundary pops the file screen. Shipping source hashes match after temporary probes were restored.

The local native build needed retries after host disk exhaustion. The successful retry used host-only settings to disable index/debug output and removed only task-owned generated artifacts; production build settings are unchanged. Failed retries supply no build proof.

The final focus-context follow-up fcdf208d pairs the visible route with its navigation object in the workspace and modal envelopes. Mobile types, scoped lint, normal hooks, and the same 4 suites / 52 tests pass. Matching shipping source was synced and fully reloaded on the compatible iOS client; native image/SVG/PDF opening, video playback, and both code/table back gestures were verified again. That native fingerprint remains afc9b3f7c31c5afc44de703410677b600843f17f.

Previous-head verification on fcdf208d is complete: all eight required checks passed, all CI jobs that ran passed, and three checks skipped normally. Macroscope correctness passed. CodeRabbit reviewed the final two-file focus-context update and reported no actionable findings; the navigation-context finding is resolved and all review threads are resolved. CodeRabbit automatically paused future reviews after completing this review. Macroscope's neutral approvability check still requests human review because the migration changes default mobile rendering and native UI paths. Its earlier height nitpick was checked against Android, which still requires the measurement to size its native bottom sheet; a source-linked explanation is posted. No human approval or merge is claimed. Earlier checks and captures below are historical proof.

Bounce/table/quote follow-up at 4b2143c3: 5 focused mobile/shared suites / 58 tests, mobile types, scoped lint, frozen installation, and normal hooks passed. Scoped lint reports existing ThreadFeed React-compiler/ref warnings. Main is merged through 0f09627a with the current thread-link ID contract preserved; the deleted renderer's old test remains deleted. Archive SHA-256 is fb446c0a20dd4dfb339e92ab577fcf9d7409e03edfb8a63699a392b921189241. Compared with the preceding archive, only the table-cell image-metadata line, package version, and provenance change; JS/Android/C++/generated API files are byte-identical. Exact-head CI passes: all 8 required checks and all CI jobs that ran succeed, with 3 normal skips. Macroscope correctness passes. CodeRabbit remains paused; its success status supplies no review of this native archive. The rebuilt iOS client is compatible with fingerprint e0b992fcc169a5385bdae9f9f1e7798c91460831. Personally verified the exact quote, its inline-code variant, and nested bold/italic/code in both dark and light appearances; restored System appearance afterward. Verified table images and nested quoted-table images in Quick Look, table video opening and actual AVKit playback, PDF links, linked-image-to-PDF priority, and non-image padding taps. All tracked shipping source bytes match the synced simulator checkout. Verified native code/table rubber-band bounce, including both table boundaries, an interior return that keeps the file open, and a fresh outward gesture from the settled left edge that navigates back from each container.

The local simulator build used host-only index/debug/strip settings and retained the original arm64 slices in this task checkout's SDK copies to fit disk. One intermediate client compiled but omitted SDWebImage at launch because trimmed XCFramework metadata was inconsistent; it supplies no UI proof. The successful official-helper retry corrected that local metadata before CocoaPods generated the embed phase, built/installed normally, and passed the helper's complete installed-bundle hash/input check. The SDK adjustment is confined to task-owned copies; production source/build settings are unchanged.

Earlier renderer comparison uses the same original fixture at the PR merge base eba05215 and d095883d.

Earlier signed SVG and code in the file Markdown preview

Earlier native file menu, routing, and preview recording

Limits: Android interaction verification could not run because the Device panel emulator failed to boot. No new Android UI, VoiceOver traversal, or native iOS XCTest proof is claimed. The bounce/table callback changes are iOS-only; the quote background is shared. Earlier Android native compilation/tests remain historical proof. The fork's MIT notice passed scoped generation. Full mobile license regeneration encountered missing notice archives for unrelated @napi-rs/wasm-runtime and @tybys/wasm-util dependencies.

Fixed in f56b4db2. Nested runs now provide their merged style to descendants. A temporary React 19.3 / React DOM runtime probe reproduced blue instead of red before the fix and passed afterward, including a red-to-green parent update, preserved bold/font-size styling, and an unaffected blue sibling. The Description check warning does not indicate missing product-direction authorization here. Maintainer Julius Marminge explicitly requested this migration in the originating T3 Code conversation, authorized using a fork while the remaining extensions are upstreamed, and asked to "put up a PR pls".

The PR author juliusmarminge is in the trusted upstream triage exemption list, freshly verified from upstream main. CONTRIBUTING.md identifies that explicit list as the authority for bypassing contribution triage. No separate proposal issue or Ideas discussion was used for this maintainer-requested work.

This records existing implementation authorization. It does not claim a human code-review approval or permission to merge. Macroscope's request for human review remains, and Android interaction verification is still incomplete. The PR stays unmerged.

Remove the unused height prop.

WorktreeSetupSheet no longer reads height, but WorktreeSetupSheetProps still requires it. Because of this, SetupDetailsSheet still measures content through onContentSizeChange. Each measurement calls setBodyHeight, which re-renders the sheet for no effect. Remove height from the props. Then remove bodyHeight and onContentSizeChange from worktree-setup-card.tsx.

The shared height measurement is still required by Android. WorktreeSetupSheet.android.tsx reads height and clamps the native RNHostView to the measured content or 85% of the screen. Removing the shared prop and callback would break that platform; the iOS FormSheet simply does not use it. Keeping this platform-specific sizing requirement.

Keep each envelope’s route and navigation object aligned.

Both envelopes spread a descriptor for the first route, then replace only route. React Navigation therefore receives the visible route with navigation scoped to a different route. Focus-sensitive consumers can identify the wrong route.

Use the descriptor for the selected last route while preserving the envelope’s existing options and render function.

✅ Addressed in commit fcdf208

Fixed in fcdf208d. The base workspace envelope and both modal-group implementations now pair the visible route with that route's navigation object, while retaining their existing options and render function. Mobile types, scoped lint, and all four focused suites / 52 tests pass. After syncing matching shipping source and fully reloading the rebuilt iOS client, native image/SVG/PDF opening and video playback still pass, as do back gestures from code and tables.

Model: GPT-6.1-sol. Harness: Codex in T3 Code.

@juliusmarminge Thanks. The supplied workspace code now pairs each envelope’s visible route with that route’s navigation object. It preserves the existing options and render function. Your confirmation for both modal-group implementations addresses the remaining site.
