rac docs
Start with the vision to learn what rac is and isn't, then the roadmap for what's being built and in what order.
Working on rac
- Contributing: how to propose and submit changes. Agents test in a real build and attach screenshots; they don't hand first look to the maintainer. See AGENTS.md.
- Building: requirements, release builds, and the
hedev tool. This file comes from Helium, so it says "Helium" andhelium-macos. For rac, use this repo instead.
Internals
These pages record how rac is put together, decisions and the reasons behind them, and traps that are hard to spot from the source.
- Overview: the layers, repo layout, how patches are applied, and how to make a rac change
- Glossary: the words rac uses for things
- Favorites and pinned tabs: how the sidebar's items and each window's tabs stay in step, and the traps; dragging is in pinned-tabs-drag.md
- AI: how the assistant and the browser agent work, the safety rules, and the traps
- Bangs (work in progress): editable bangs and a better address bar experience; nothing designed yet
Operations
- Syncing with Helium: pulling in new Helium and Chromium releases
- Feature worktrees: working on several features at once, each with its own build tree
- Releases: the signing key, publishing a version, and testing updates
- The website: running, building, and deploying the
