fix(client-runtime): pairing links can no longer add routes to a saved environment#26178
Pairing merged a new server into a saved environment whenever it reported the same environmentId, and that id is self-reported. A crafted /pair?host=… link (web pairs on page load) let a server that knew a victim's environment id add itself as a fallback route to the real environment. Prompts then went to that server whenever the real addresses were unreachable, and it could serve fake threads.
EnvironmentRegistry.register takes a new refuseNewRoute option. Pairing sets it unless the user targeted an environment (expectedEnvironmentId, which the web Add route dialog and the mobile add-route screen already pass and which is already checked against the descriptor). With the option set, a pairing for a saved environment is refused with a configuration error unless it reaches an address that environment already has. Re-pairing the same address (to refresh a credential or turn the environment back on) still works. Adding a second route from the environment's own settings still works. Connect/relay registration, SSH, and bearer edits do not use the option, so they behave as before.
Tests in onboarding.test.ts: an untargeted pairing from a new address is refused and leaves the catalog untouched (fails on main), and a targeted pairing still adds the route.

Approvability
Verdict: Needs Human Approval
Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — Pairing links for saved environments now reject unfamiliar addresses and direct users to Add route, with checks before credential exchange and under the registration lease. Human review is needed to confirm this change to the default pairing workflow.

Walkthrough
Pairing checks proposed addresses against saved routes when no expected environment ID is supplied. An explicit environment ID allows adding a route. Platform-managed environments bypass the address check.

Explanation
The title names the main change: pairing links can no longer add routes to a saved environment. It matches the changeset, which adds a refuseNewRoute option to EnvironmentRegistry.register and sets it during pairing. It uses a conventional commit prefix and is one sentence. It does not list files.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description covers the problem, the change, and verification. The Problem section explains that pairing merged a new server into a saved environment through a self-reported environmentId. The Change section explains the refuseNewRoute option and its exceptions. The test coverage is described. However, the Scope and approval section is missing. The description does not link a triaged bug issue or maintainer discussion, and it does not explain why the fix qualifies without one. The template also asks for a statement of what was not checked, and the Verification section gives test results only in general terms ("fails on main"), with no run output. The template's agent attribution line is present.
Resolution
Add a Scope and approval section. Link the triaged bug issue or maintainer discussion that approves this direction, including the approval comment. The PR objectives show a comment from juliusmarminge ("Taking over this one"), but that is not explicit approval of scope. If no issue exists, explain why this focused fix to an obvious bug qualifies without one. Expand Verification with the test commands run and their observed results, such as the onboarding.test.ts pass and fail outcomes on main and on this branch. State anything not checked, such as mobile or web add-route flows.
