Every T3 thread pays for T3's MCP tool schemas before the agent does anything: 84 tools, about 66K characters of JSON. Evals also showed agents still repeating a few T3 tool mistakes. This combines five PRs into one: #25018, #25125, #25124, #25127, and #25151.

What changed

  • Smaller schemas. The server advertises a compact schema: no additionalProperties: true, no safe-integer bounds, no JSON-string fallbacks, no null branch on optional fields, and one object for a tagged union. Decoding still uses the full schema.
  • Fewer tools, 84 to 66. Related tools become one tool with an action: preview_act (click, type, hover, select, drag, upload, press, scroll), t3_queue, t3_pending_request, t3_thread_transfer, and schedule_task creates or updates. History still renders the old tool names.
  • Rules at the point of use. A delegated child's link_pull_request result tells it how to end its report. Delegate and preview rules close four repeat eval misses.

Tool schemas go from 65,789 to 43,175 characters (−34%).

Not changing this. target_required here is about the source thread, not targetThreadId. The test calls fork as an MCP client outside any T3 thread and passes no threadId, so resolveThreadId in threadAccess.ts has no thread to fork from and fails with target_required. That is the intended behavior, and the test passes on c5607fe910.
