The desktop main process owns the HID connection (node-hid, Codex's vendor JSON-RPC over report 6) and exposes desktopBridge.codexMicro. The renderer maps the six agent keys to the most relevant local threads using the sidebar's status logic, lights them in Codex's colors, and runs key, knob and stick actions: approvals and stop go through orchestration commands, everything else replays the user's own keybinding. Settings > Codex Micro appears only while a device is connected. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
