Option orders None first — so a pre-timing pane (both timing fields
None) shadowed every timed sibling and the headline fell back to the
plain lifecycle word. The is_none() key restores longest-running-wins
with legacy panes last. Two headless tests cover the roll-up: longest
run wins within the rolled-up state, and a legacy pane listed first
never hides a timed run (red-proofed against the old key).
