- Treat a DataSource reply without an exit status as a failure in provider
  settings, rosters, Diagnostics and notification actions (Guards.exitCode),
  and word a missing status like missing data instead of "code NaN".
- Keep a provider write error visible when an in-flight list completes after it.
- Clear an earlier AI Insights verdict when the API key prompt is cancelled.
- Skip empty cost records in the model history budget, flag unanchored scans
  that stop early, and reject impossible calendar dates as a cost scan day.
- Never end truncated display or diagnostic text on half a surrogate pair.
