test(panel): isolate alias selection from icon rendering

Disable preview meters while checking a synthetic future provider so the missing optional icon cannot fail the selection regression. All nine settings tests pass without skips in the pinned Plasma CI image. This test-only adjustment does not change documented behavior, configuration, translations, or TODO.
