# Accepting an organization invitation

Open the invitation link in the email sent by your organization. Sign in with
the account the invitation was intended for.

- **Signed out:** the page asks you to sign in; the **Sign in** link brings you
  back to the invitation afterwards.
- **Signed in:** the page names the organization and offers **Accept
  invitation**. On success it confirms you joined and offers **Go to organization**.
- **Expired, revoked, or already used:** the page shows the server's reason and
  nothing is joined. Ask an owner or admin to send a new invitation.

Invitations are tied to the account or email address they were sent to. To
accept an email-address invitation, that address must be verified on your
account. Handle invitations are emailed to the existing account's address too;
sending either kind requires the deployment's mail service.
