Take a cloud copy's item when asked, and count copies a stale read misses

A copy waiting behind another copied the item as it was by then. A read
of the target page older than an earlier copy's landing let the same
item be copied again. The off-canvas test now reproduces the deletion
the canvas made of an acked copy it never drew.
