The problem

The frontend rebuild branch has a new visual foundation but incomplete navigation, missing Settings, inconsistent loading/error feedback and no replacement renderer coverage.

What you would like

Complete the frontend UI in the style of feat/frontend-rebuild. Cover the shell, mail, drafts, Today, Calendar, Projects, Agent review, Accounts and Settings. Keep the existing API, provider, storage and desktop contracts intact. Use synthetic data only.

Acceptance: working keyboard and narrow-screen navigation, consistent page states, reachable existing controls, privacy-safe labels, failed-form retention and bounded full-suite/build proof.

Alternatives you considered

Retaining the unfinished screens leaves dead controls and missing configuration. Reverting to the old interface would discard the new branch design.

Related issues or pull requests

Searched open and closed work for frontend, UI overhaul and rebuild. Historical #35 and #103 concern the previous interface; no active matching task or PR was found. No PR currently targets this task. Planned checks: synthetic mounted renderer tests, serial npm test, strict npm run build, independent exact-diff review. No execution result is claimed here.

Complete the rebuild renderer so navigation, configuration and page feedback are usable across the existing workflows.

Fix plan:

  • At rebuild base ab7048a, src/App.tsx has an unwired sidebar toggle and no Settings route; inspect src/shell/Sidebar.tsx and src/ui/Page.tsx for keyboard, narrow-screen and shared page-state gaps.
  • Complete the renderer in src/accounts/AccountsPage.tsx, src/drafts/, src/mail/ and src/workspace/; add reachable Settings using existing API contracts. Preserve failed forms and privacy-safe labels, with no backend, desktop or release changes.
  • Add synthetic mounted renderer coverage for navigation, page states, existing controls and failed-form retention. Run serial npm test and npm run build through CONTRIBUTING.md's bounded Linux wrappers; update CHANGELOG.md and affected frontend docs, then obtain independent exact-diff review before merge into the rebuild branch.
